So Proud!

Blake is so proud of himself.  He came out of his room one morning and surprised us all with his shirt on, he'd gotten dressed all by himself!  Now he can also put on his pants.  In fact, when he's getting dressed he wants me to leave the room.  It's so nice to be able to say, "Now go get a shirt and pants and get dressed."

Way to go Blake, we're proud of you too!

Samantha's Room

I am so excited to get Samantha's room done!  It seems I've been collecting things forever and it all finally came together.  I'm also excited that I don't think I paid full price for anything.    We have one more little feature to complete but it should also be done soon.

Snow!

We finally got a significant amount of snow!  I didn't get the camera out soon enough to catch Blake outside.  He didn't last long but went inside to keep warm...

Samantha is my snow trooper.  She went out before me and I had to drag her inside after I shoveled the driveway.  She's learned to make snow shapes.

We attend JumpStart at Midland Academy every month.  It's something that the kids look forward to.  Each month a different person reads the stories and afterwards the kids get to do a craft and/or have a snack.  This month Mrs. Fairchild had JumpStart and she gave story time about Kansas' 150th birthday.  The kids learned so much and loved the little book she made and gave each child.  The snack wasn't too bad either:)

Tradition

It's our tradition at Christmas to take a picture with numbers representing the year that we are in.  We nearly forgot about it this year but right before we took down the tree we got it in.

After coming back from Wisconsin, we had couple of days to get ready for Grandma and Grandpa.  They arrived Friday afternoon, New Year's Eve.  Travis was got off early so we opened up our presents...

We didn't do much during the weekend that they were here.  Travis came down with a cold and so we stayed close to home.  It was nice to have them visit again.

Last WI Post

The cousins found that sliding down the stairs can be a lot of fun, especially if you have a slippery blanket.

The day before we left the kids wanted to out again and play in the snow.  Blake wanted to take his new Bobcat outside and move snow around just like Papa does...

Blake's Bobcat came in handy hauling shells too...
