Once again we spent Spring Break in Wisconsin.  We left on Sunday, March 10th and was rushing through so that we could beat a snow storm. We were thankful to be at my parents because by Sunday evening parts we had traveled through had 5" of snow!

We spent most of the week at my parents relaxing.  We did go to Rice Lake on Monday for a few things and Tuesday I got a massage.  Thursday it was good to see my Aunt Jan who came up to see us.

Of course, the kids spent time outside as well as inside.  They got rides on all of the farm vehicles and I heard that they played hide-and-seek with Papa.

BeBe cut out special things for them in her Silhouette and baked cookies with them.

Friday Aunt Jenney brought the cousins up so that everyone could play.  They started playing the minute they walked in the door and didn't stop until 9:30 every night.  They put on shows as well as had worship Saturday night by performing charades.

While there we celebrated Blake's birthday again.  Blake helped design this one and put the penguins and other things on.

Once again, it was wonderful time despite the fact that they missed their dad terribly.  Tears were in our eyes as we came back home again.

Samantha is in Gymnastics

Samantha has been in gymnastics for the last three months. She loves it and puts forth her very best. She pushes herself at the classes and practices endlessly at home.

The first class is a lot of stretching and learning the real basics of gymnastics.

At the end of the class we learned that she can move on to the 2nd class.

Blake Turns 5!

Blake turned five on March 6th.  He was so excited for his birthday but didn't want a big party.

He invited his friend Jillian over for the day.  I took them to Ernie Miller Nature Center for a preschool program and on the way home we picked up pizza's that the kids could make and bake per his request.  They just played the rest of the afternoon.

That evening he had requested wild rice, fr-chik soup so we had that and lentil soup.  Grandpa and our neighbors Joe and Gloria joined us for supper and cake and ice cream.

Blake was very gracious with his gifts and was thinking he was all done when we took him to the garage and asked him to help us find the other one.  We had gotten him a new, bigger bike and had hidden in a huge box.

He was thrilled with all of his gifts and of course, had to take the bike for a spin that evening.

Blake got a DQ cake with ants and bugs on it.

Waiting to open up his gifts.

Lunch with his buddy.

Showing Papa Joe and Gloria his card.

Another Hot Wheels track from Samantha.

In January we took advantage of a special at Crown Center and went roller skating one evening.  Neither one of the kids had ever been skating before and it had been ages since Travis or I had been.

We got there before the rush and enjoyed our time.  The kids did amazingly well!
