Travis has been working hard at work to raise money for the employee Christmas party.  He had the great idea to bring in a dunk tank to raise money.  He and the Director of Nursing took turns being in the tank.  The kids just had to see their dad in the tank so we stopped by.

Playing under dad's desk.

One Sabbath we went to Lawrence and met up with Nick, someone who works with Travis, at a R/C airplane strip.  There were lots of airplanes up and flying and doing tricks.  The kids enjoyed watching them and would love to go back someone.  They also loved playing with Nicks son, Cooper.

It's become an annual event to attend the Lousiburg Cider Fest.  The kids asked to go this year so we headed visited it once again.  Face painting and apple cider slushes are the highlight of our trip.  We enjoyed wonderful weather and watching the apple cider process.  The kids got their faces painted and got to go down an inflated slide.

The next weekend we attend the Apple Fest in Weston, MO.  Again, it was a beautiful day to be outside so we walked around and looked at the booths then took the kids to the part designed especially for kids.  They played on the playground a bit then they chose to ride the ponies.  They each had picked out the pony to ride but after the second time around Blake was switched because it was a bit smaller and on a larger horse.  It upset him terribly that he didn't get to ride on the horse he chose and broke down crying as soon as he got off.  He has such a tender heart that many things affect him.

Samantha had her first Fall break in October so we took the opportunity to head to Wisconsin to visit BeBe and Papa.  We actually left a day early so that we'd have plenty of time there.

The trip up went great, we got there in great time.  While there the kids spent quite a bit of time outside with Papa and just playing around.  They got to ride the 4-wheeler, Bobcat, and tractor.  They also got to go in Papa's truck the lumberyard.

BeBe had some apples to do so the kids got to help with making applesauce.

While there we celebrated BeBe's 60th birthday Saturday night.  It was a full day but the party turned out well.

The middle of October we headed to Great Bend to see the grandparents.  When we got there the boys got haircuts and then Travis found an empty field to shoot off some rockets.  The first one went off great but the second one he had modified and the end results wasn't so great.  It went up a bit and then twisted and turned and did a nose dive into the ground.

Sabbath we made a trip to the zoo and fed all of the fish and ducks.  The kids enjoyed seeing the animals and the fish.

It was a a nice, relaxing weekend with Grandpa and Grandma.

The leaves have been falling at our place for some time now.  We have one tree in the back that dropped all of it's leaves first so we raked up the leaves one evening so the kids could play in them.  They were so excited to help rake and to jump in the pile!

Field Trip

Ms. Wallace, Samantha's teacher asked Blake and I to go along with the Kindergarten class and help supervise. We were both excited for this outing with.

The day came and we joined Samantha and her class on the school bus. We arrived at the KC Pumpkin Patch and we couldn't have picked a better day. All of the kids enjoyed the jumping pillow, big tricycles, goats and slides. At the end, they each got to pick out a pumpkin to take home with them.

I am pretty sure the day was a huge success for everyone!
