Here are a few, random videos....

Memorial Weekend was filled with baseball.  Sunday night we went to a T-Bones game at the Legends with Terry and Claudia.  The game was a ton of fun and filled with lots of hit and the coach even got thrown out!  The night ended with fireworks.

Monday we hired a babysitter to come and watch the kids so we could go to a Royals game with Terry and Claudia.  They had received some amazing tickets and were so kind to ask us to join them.  We'll never have seats like that again!

Velvet Creme Popcorn

Thanks to our friend Dawn for organizing a Summer field trip to Velvet Creme Popcorn.  Although we didn't get to tour the plant, the kids were each able to make their own popcorn creation which was so yummy!  The kids enjoyed seeing all of their friends too!

Here are some random pictures from our lives.  Most of the pictures the kids have taken but it's fun to see life from their eyes....

Strawberry Festival

While Travis was a dedicated student for his MO state boards, I took the kids to Shawnee Mission's Strawberry Festival.  Our neighbor, Gloria decided to join us as well.

The kids had a great time, as always and I stood in line forever for the face painting.  In fact, while I was standing in line, Gloria took them to many other stations so that they wouldn't miss out.  The strawberry shortcake was yummy and the face painting was worth the wait!

A Deer and a Truck

It was Friday, May 31st and Travis had just been bragging that his truck hit the 200,000 mark and we were aiming for just 25,000 more...

It was early and I knew that Travis had left for work but I heard the garage door open so I got up to see what was going on. Travis was home and told me he had hit a deer on Shawnee Mission Parkway.  He said he was fine but he had walked home and left the truck along side the road.

After a bit, I took him up there to see if we could at least drive the truck home.  We were able to but that's about it.  The anti freeze and water drained on the way home and while at home.

We were so thankful that Travis was okay but it was obvious that his truck must be retired!

After a bit of searching, Travis found a truck exactly like he wanted about 40 minutes away from here.  He has been so happy with his new truck and we were happy to have his old truck towed away to a salvage yard and get nearly $500 for it!

Day Out with Thomas

It is our tradition to go to Baldwin City, KS to attend "Day Out with Thomas."  Last year they went with Travis and his parents while I was in Wisconsin.  This year I took the kids by myself as Travis was studying for his Missouri State Boards.

As usual, the kids had a fantastic time.  They loved the magic show that was put on and enjoyed petting the animals, especially the kangaroo who was so soft.

The kids have loved to play with bugs and worms, especially worms.  They have found some really BIG ones!

One morning it rained so hard that the gutters were full of huge ones.  The kids insisted on going out in the pouring rain to pick them up.
