Last week was a very busy one. I was getting ready for Blake’s birthday and getting ready for a consignment sale.
We started off the week with library again on Tuesday and Wednesday we went to Midland’s JumpStart. This JumpStart was about snakes and at the end the kids got to draw a snake and cover it with tissue paper.
After JumpStart we met up with Travis for lunch. We decided to eat at Fritz’s, the train restaurant. Seeing the trains deliver your food never gets old it seems.
That same afternoon Travis was able to take off work early to watch the kids so I could shop at the sale. It gave him some great time with the kids and some great away time for mom. The kids love spending time with Travis so it was special for them.
Friday Grandma and Grandpa were the first to arrive to celebrate Blake’s birthday. Grandma took them outside to enjoy the weather. Grandma got her exercise playing with them and chasing them around. Around supper time BeBe and Papa arrived for the weekend.
We celebrated Blake’s birthday Saturday night with a barnyard theme. We ate sloppy joes, baked beans, chips and vegetables. I made him a barnyard cake. After cake and ice cream Blake opened his gifts. I am pretty sure he enjoyed each of them. Samantha gave him a puppy coin bank which he promptly gave a kiss and Grandma and Grandpa gave him a Thomas the Train which you ride. It plays the Thomas theme song and he immediately started dancing to it. It was a cute sight.
Grandma and Grandpa left right after breakfast on Sunday. We ran a few errands with BeBe and Papa that day which included a trip to the mall and riding the carousel. The weather was nice enough that Blake could try out his toys (most were outdoor toys).
We really enjoyed the weekend with everyone here. The kids adored the attention of all of the grandparents and it was a great way to celebrate!

Celebrating Blake's Birthday...
Growing up too fast...
A breakfast smile...
We took a walk Sabbath afternoon and tried to enjoy the bit of warmth we had...
