We had a great week last week, both Grandma's were able to visit.  BeBe came in Sunday evening and spent until Thursday morning with us.

We shopped, shopped and shopped.  In fact, by the end the Samantha didn't want to go to Hobby Lobby again.  We were able to hit some thrift stores and the mall.  Of course, the kids were spoiled like crazy and stayed up late but it's always worth it.  Those special times with the grandparents can't be replaced.  While she was here we also visited Smallcakes, a cupcakery.  The icing was as tall as the cupcake and I'm pretty sure that's all that the kids ate.  It's always hard for me the day BeBe leaves because I love spending time with her to.

Grandma came Thursday evening and was able to spend the weekend with us.  We ate lunch with Travis Friday which is always a treat for the kids.

Sabbath we left right after church for the town of Leavenworth.  They have a great little park right by the river that we enjoyed.  Samantha took her bike and we took a trail by a creek and through downtown Leavenworth.  The kids enjoyed running and playing around in the hot summer weather.  Each kid got a bit of sun but nothing they couldn't handle.

Sunday we got up and hit Starbucks and then looked at several houses.  We were able to stop at a playground before hand which the kids loved.  After that we went downtown KC to the City Market, a farmer's market.  The kids rode a little train that was there and thought it was a lot of fun.

That afternoon we hit a playground again, basically for rewarding the kids after driving by more houses.

Since our last blog Blake has moved into a "big boy" bed.  I found a Thomas the Tank Engine toddler bed for him at a garage sale and he loves it.  In fact, he used to call Thomas just a train but it was the first time he actually called him Thomas.  There was hardly any hype to it but he transitioned so well and hasn't fallen out of bed once.

Samantha will move to her big bed after our company leaves this weekend.  She is excited to have a big bed.

Both kids have enjoyed playing outside, riding their bikes, etc.  We love the warm weather!  They have also been playing together some which is great for me.

Today Samantha came to me and said that she couldn't find anything to concentrate on or entertain her during quiet time so she wasn't going to do it.  Oh, how their little minds work!
