It seems the theme of this blog lately is to go a long time without blogging and then put up a marathon blog.  Well, here's your catch-up marathon blog.....

We ended January with Travis's birthday.  Both of the kids got him cards and they addressed them.  It was also Grandpa's birthday so they got him cards also.

They also made cupcakes for the occasion and decorated them themselves...

We've had quite a bit of snow this year and the kids are always wanting to eat it.  After one of our snow storms we made snow cream.  Blake loved it and wanted to make more but Samantha was not quite as thrilled with it.

We've spent quite a few of our winter nights in the family room.  We either play Uno, Sorry or trains.  The kids love Uno and they've learned how to beat their parents...

The kids were so anxious to get outside that when it was a semi-nice day they'd head out and ride their bikes...

Most of our snow this year has been light and powdery but one time it began to melt and the kids were able to make a snowman...

Samantha enjoys playing dress-up and she is sure that her brother does to.  Luckily he doesn't put up much of a fight when she dresses him up...

This winter Samantha was able to take a 6-week beginning tumbling class.  She enjoyed it a lot and improved her stretching and tumbling abilities.  She can now do a cartwheel...

In February the kids and I took a trip to my parents.  We spent a week at their house enjoying their company and the farm.  The kids each enjoyed a ride on the 4-wheeler and Bobcat from Papa and spent time inside the house with BeBe cooking and reading books.  True to Wisconsin weather, we experienced temps as low as -25 one morning but it got up to 42 before we left.  Again the kids were awesome travelers and only stopped two times each way.  Can you believe I only took these pictures the entire trip??

After we got back we had the opportunity to meet with Carson and his mom at Monkey Bizness.  What fun!  I am pretty sure we all enjoyed climbing and sliding...

Aren't treats fun???  The kids got these cool treats that turn your tongue a different color from a friend for Valentine's day...

When I was growing up my brother and I listed to My Bible Friends being read to us on tape by Uncle Dan and Aunt Sue.  Now my kids are listening to them on the iPad and the computer.  I was thrilled that we received them as a gift from my parents...
