Every year Travis and I have the opportunity to go to the Tiny Tim Gala that supports a wonderful cause for Shawnee Mission Hospital. It's always fun to get dressed up for a wonderful event. Travis is able to invite some of his employees to join us and it's always nice to visit with them outside of work..
I've always wanted to get our family pictures taken and when a wife of an employee of Travis's heard that she offered to take them for us. She's just starting out her little photography business but we were so happy with the results we got!
We spent Thanksgiving at my parents house and we were happy that Paul and his family were able to join us. It was the first time we had gotten to see new little Luke. As usual, the cousins had a fantastic time together. Papa had just gotten turkeys so the kids played with them a bit and spent quite a bit of time outside....
I made some special treats for Samantha's Kindergarten class. I think they all enjoyed the little turkeys....
Soon after we got back we put up our Christmas tree. The kids were so excited but we had to wait a couple of days for the branches to fall before we could decorate it. It turned out to be a beautiful tree...
After Thanksgiving Samantha had her first Christmas concert. This year her teacher, Mrs. Bruette had the Kindergartener's join grades 1-4 in a choir and Samantha did so well. We are proud of her!
The next night we started our church's Cantata. Samantha performed in the children's choir while Blake played boy Jesus again (he only agreed to play it as long as Travis was going to be up there) and Travis was a wise man. They all did so well at their performances. I am proud!
Ms. Wallace, Samantha's teacher, asked me to make treats for her class for Christmas. Here are pictures of what I brought....
The kids love doing crafts and helping in the kitchen. I got them each a sand craft to do for Christmas and we made some banana bread....
Travis actually was able to take the Friday afternoon before Christmas off so we headed down to Crown Center to see the gingerbread village, the outside display and see all of the displays. We had a great time together...
I had take a couple of pictures when we were all dressed up for church in out Christmas best...
I ran an errand one afternoon and I came back to this on Blake. Needless to say, it wasn't a washable marker....
Grandma and Grandpa came to spend Christmas with us. We opened out stockings Christmas Eve and then looked at lights. Christmas morning we got up, opened our presents and then ate a big breakfast. We played with our new toys all day and ended it with a big meal and a movie....
BeBe and Papa came to our house last weekend to celebrate Christmas with us. The kids loved getting more presents and we all enjoyed having them here...

| This is the present Samantha had really wanted and she was sure she wasn't going to get it. You can tell the delight on her face when she opened it up! |
And finally, our Christmas card for the year....
