Oshkosh 2019 - Pathfinder International Camporee

What an awesome event!!!  This is an international event that brings Pathfinders from all over the world to Oshkosh Wisconsin, once every five years, to camp and celebrate Jesus Christ.  The biblical theme this year was the story of David.  Around 57,000 pathfinders attended the event with 93 countries being represented.  Since this event only happens once every five years, this will probably be the only time that the whole family will make the event all together.  Enjoy the pics.

We made our first stop along the way at the Wisconsin Dells, where we got to go the Mt. Olympus theme park.  What a great way to start the trip.

Arrival at the camp.  It was incredible how many people were there.  Pin trading is a big activity where clubs bring their pin to trade with other clubs.  Both kids did quite well.

Samantha was one of the three kids chosen out of the crowd to participate.

Blake and Dad took time to tour through the air museum across the street.

On the way home we experienced some bad luck.  First, someone had backed into the back quarter panel of Mom's car while at Taco Bell, and second, dad was experiencing chest pains that mom insisted we stop at a hospital to get checked out.  Luckily for both situations, there was nothing major wrong.  Overall the trip was a major success.  We arrived at our house around midnight and the kids had to start their first day of school the next day.  What a wild and memerable summer it has been.
