While here, Grandma B (Samantha calls her Bee Bee) taught Samantha to shake hands and also to pat her chest when she coughs. It’s really cute to watch her. While we were out and about last week a lady bent down to talk to Samantha and Samantha held out her hand for the lady to shake.
Grandma B got to experience a consignment sale while she was here too. It was a huge help to me as she kept Samantha occupied while I was able to look through the clothes. We were able to pick up Samantha several things and even came home with two “new” toys.
We are happy to report that we finally have a new tooth. All of a sudden her front bottom left tooth popped up. I’m terrible at telling which tooth is coming in when and I kept on thinking she was working on those two year molars. She had two good nights of sleep and is back to getting up at least once. Oh well, we enjoyed those couple of nights.
We took a family day this week and headed to the zoo. We actually only had a couple of hours together but we enjoyed it. It was the first time dad has been able to go to the zoo with us so we enjoyed showing him around. It seemed Samantha especially enjoyed the monkeys.
Today, Sunday, Samantha enjoyed a girls only outing. It was the yearly polo match at Bendabout Farm and we were happy that Christy and Kathryn wanted to go this year. Poor dad had to work so he missed out. Samantha enjoyed watching the ball go up and down the field and watch the fast horses. They only got real close a couple of times. During the intermission they brought out a couple of beautiful horses to pull a carriage. Samantha got to pet these large horses and while there we learned that they were bred and brought over directly from Holland!
And on a baby note….I’m headed to the doctor’s this week for my monthly check-up. I’m now 15 weeks along and feeling about 25+. I’ve already outgrown some jeans—my skinny jeans. I’m now working on outgrowing my other ones. A lady in Samantha’s Sabbath School didn’t know I was pregnant and overheard me talking about it. She said that she had noticed a small bump on me and wondered if it was a baby bump. Although my appetite is still very strong I have slowed down a bit from a couple of weeks ago.
