Our little guy has also started to wrap his fingers around his bottle when we feed him. Speaking of fingers, they are constantly in his mouth!!! He seems to gnawing away at them a lot of the time. I think I need to find some teething rings for him to chew on instead.
This morning I had put him on the floor under his toy while got a few things done. When I went past him I noticed that he had pulled his legs up a bit and was on his side. I was so excited to see him make such a progression. Later on I put him in the middle of Samantha's toddler bed while I changed her diaper. I did that and stepped out of the room to throw it away and all of a sudden we heard a scream. Our little guy was on the floor which only meant one thing--he had rolled!!! We were excited that he had rolled over but so sad to see that he had landed on the floor. Thankfully it was only from a toddler bed and not from our bed.
Blake got his pictures taken again his week. He slept on the way there and I woke him up once we got to the mall and he did great this time. We got lots of smiles!
Last weekend was a very busy one, especially Saturday. By Sunday night poor Blake was exhausted. He slept for a full 9 hours and went 12 hours without eating! He hasn't done that again but will often go 6-7 hours without eating at night.
Samantha's memory never ceases to simply amaze me. The other day we were headed to the post office. She started to talk about soda being there. I had no idea what she was talking about because there isn't a soda machine there and we never have any at the house. When we got there and opened up the mailbox she said it again. I then remembered that one of the times we had been there she had heard someone putting money in a soda machine and getting a soda. You can also see the boxes of soda from our mailbox.
I thought we saw a turtle on the road the other day and we talked about how her friend Alex had found a turtle. Now every time we go on that road when we come to the place where we saw the turtle she talks about Alex's turtle.
This week she talked about going to the new mall where there was an airplane. Well, we haven't been anywhere new since we got home from my parents so I wasn't sure what she was talking about. Finally this week she added that the place had a turtle. It finally dawned on me that she was talking about the mall near my parents place that she played at for about 10 minutes.
Oh how I wish that I could remember some of the things she does! I guess that's why we should pump her full of information now.
Last Sunday Samantha and I got to spend a little bit of quality time together. We went out into our front lawn and watched three little bunnies run around. We also laid on the grass looking at the clouds and birds in the sky. Later we walked down to the little bridge and chased each others shadows all the way down. She laughed and laughed as we did so. Now she really pays attention to her shadow.
Samantha seems to be falling a lot more lately. I'm hoping it's because she's going through a growth spurt. She's got scrapes on both legs and on an elbow. It doesn't help though that she is willing to try anything and she more than likely will want to do it by herself.
There have been a couple of commercials on the TV that Samantha has saw advertising theme parks and of course, they show the rides. Samantha says, "me go there." Do we have an adventurer in our house or what???
