We had yet another busy week at our house.

Sunday we were invited to a post-Valentine party where Samantha got the decorate cookies. She really enjoyed that. From there we went to Ian's first birthday party and of course, the kids enjoyed that too.

Monday we were invited to Kathryn's house for a play date. Christy volunteered her services so that Travis and I could go out to eat by ourselves and we took her up on it. Poor Samantha did not want us to leave. She ran to the door as I was leaving screaming "moooommmmy!" Of course, it broke my heart but Christy called a few minutes later confirming that everything was okay. We are so appreciative of her offer and generosity of her time.

Tuesday we were invited to Mindi's for an Usbourne party and play time. The kids again enjoyed playing with other kids.

Wednesday we actually stayed home all day. We played in doors, made a tent and had tea, etc. It was our one day we didn't have anything planned.

Thursday brought us back to the library and story time and then the weekend.

I forgot to write last week that Samantha had gotten gum stuck in her hair. We were on our way back from visiting Travis and she apparently took it out to take a drink. I pulled over and got most of it out and we finished getting it out at home. I was so relieve to get it out because she would have gotten a very short haircut:)

This week Samantha surprised us by practically spelling her name.She spells it "samtha". She keeps on forgetting to say the middle a and n. Oh well, it's a big name and it will come soon enough.

Blake has slept really well this past week. I know just writing this will make it all change but I haven't slept so hard at night in ages and it's felt great! It has been allowing me to be up before the kids and get a shower in at least.

When Blake was born my parents got him a swaddle blanket because when Samantha was born it was hard to find one. Once they learned that he was using it every night they bought us a couple more. It is from Swaddle Designs and it's the only baby gift I give now. Anyways, he's adopted these as his blanket. It can sooth him when he's crying and he has to have one when he's going to sleep. I am so thankful he isn't particular to just one but will take any of the three.

The other day at nap time Samantha asked if she could sleep in Blake's bed. Because he wasn't going to and I just wanted her to sleep I agreed and she went right to sleep!

I bought Samantha this cute little form for her room and put a new dress on it just for the fun of it. It had been up on her dresser but she asked for it to be moved beside her bed. I think these pictures are cute because it kind of looks like she's dreaming of her dress...

She had been asleep and when Travis stepped into the room to take the picture she opened the eyes and this is the shot we got.
