Over the last couple of months I've jotted down cute things that the kids have said. Here are a few of them...
1. Blake said, "That's the funniest things I've ever heard." He is often heard saying, "I'm serious" and he teases like crazy. I'll ask him a question and he'll get a silly look on his face or in complete seriousness give me a silly answer. Sometimes getting him to count to 30 is a big deal because he keeps on saying silly things.
2. During the Summer the kids caught lightening bugs and put them in jars. We had leftover "Ball" jars from some applesauce we'd made last Fall. Samantha had put her jar next to her bed and Blake put his in his dresser. The morning after catching their bugs Blake went into Samantha's room and accused her of having his jar in her room. He said, "Look, it has my name on it! He saw a lot of the same letters from his name on the jar and assumed it was his! We assured him that his jar was in his room.
3. During the early Summer we'd had quite a few thunderstorms and Samantha was commenting on how the weather had been bad lately. She said, you know there have been a lot of storms lately and I think that means that Jesus is coming soon. I can't wait to go because going to Heaven is going to be so much fun.
4. We had caught Blake eating his boogers and we were telling him that he was not be doing this. Samantha said, "Yeah, I used to do that a lot but then I got a cavity and I quit doing it." Where she got from I never know, but I'm glad it caused her to quit!
5. Samantha got a new booster seat so that Travis could take her to school in the mornings. She was looking at it and noticed that it had cup holders. She said, "That means when Dad stops by Starbucks in the morning I'll have somewhere to put my drink!"
