We have started a new tradition in our family. Instead of purchasing gifts, we are going to go on a trip somewhere special. Prior to leaving for Wisconsin to visit the Britain clan for Christmas, we decided to let the kids open up their stockings to reveal where we are going for vacation. They have been trying to get mom and dad to give little hints as to where the location of the vacation is going to be. However, the parents did a fine job of keeping it a secret. Each stocking gift was to be the clue to the location with the last gift giving the destination. They included a pair of Teva's, sand with seashells, a Southwest airplane, and a paper ticket stating where we are going. The kids could hardly contain themselves. It was very exciting.
Afterwards, it was on the road to Wisconsin. WooHoo!!!!!
We had a great Christmas with the rest of the family. It is so much fun watching the kids laugh and have a great time.
Time to open the presents.
A great time was had by all.
On January 12, 2019, we had a very wet snowfall that had left the trees covered with snow.
Very beautiful.
