16 Months Old

This week Samantha has definitely proven that she is the great imitator. Whether it be trimming our nails or putting a tape into the VCR she will try and copy us. It makes you realize what you’re doing more and pay attention to all she watches!

Last night Samantha some how learned how to get up onto the coffee table. Ugh! One more thing that we have to keep her off of. If she were just a bit taller OR she had something to grab onto she would be up onto the couch and loveseat and climbing on the back of it. Have I mentioned that Samantha climbs into her highchair herself now?

It’s been so hot this past week we don’t go out during the day to play unless there are no other options. One evening, being it was so hot, I gave Samantha a bucket of water to play with. She loved it. One afternoon while Dad was home we swam a bit in the neighbors pool. This was the first time that she has swam with Dad and she really enjoyed it.

Thursday was a very busy day. We met Tracy and Cheryl for lunch and in the evening Christy and Kathryn came over to play so that Mom and Dad could go out again. I don’t think this time went as well as before but Samantha hadn’t been in a good mood all day. We so appreciate Christy volunteering to watch Samantha so that we can have come couple time.
