Speaking of naps, Samantha has been taking only one nap now for over a month. It got to the point where she was going to bed at 10:00 or 10:30 and it was just too late, she needed more sleep. She tends to take her nap between 12 noon and 1:00 and then sleep for about and hour-and-a-half. This means that she goes to bed between 8:30 and 9:00 giving me an hour or so to get the house back in order for the next day. This transition has seemed to find her in a good mood more of the time and she is really ready for bed when the time comes. We’ve also solidified our routine of bath, milk and three books. She sometimes asks for more than three books but she knows I won’t read any more to her.
Just in the last week Samantha has taken her independence a bit further and insists on putting on her shoes herself. Who cares if they get on the right foot or not! I’m very proud of her, she does a great job of it.
She keeps on working on her molars and I see progress coming on them. Maybe someday soon we can report that she’s gotten them.
On a baby note…we go for our “big” ultrasound this Thursday and yes, we’re going to find out the sex of the baby. Papa and Be Be were coming down for the weekend so we asked them to come a couple of days early so that they could watch Samantha for us. It sounded like a great excuse to get them down here earlier! We’re excited for their arrival and the ultrasound.
Goofing around...

Swinging with dad...

I tried putting away some old books but Samantha got to them before I could. Of course, they were all "new" again...
