Week 30

From here on out it seems that the baby will be mostly growing at a rapid pace and packing on the pounds. By the 30th week the baby is about 3 lbs and is nearly 16 inches long!

The baby may have begun to practice its breathing movements and it even may get a case of the hiccups.

Thursday I have the first of my every-other week appointments. I do need to confirm with my doctor that I can work as long as I feel I’m able to. My work wants to be sure that they have someone to replace me and I have a little bit of time to “train” them but we haven’t worked out an official end date. I’m aiming for March 31st but they might not feel comfortable cutting it that close.

This weekend we got our bumpers for the crib. A gigantic thanks to my mom for putting in many long hours in making it for us. It looks absolutely fabulous and is exactly the way that I thought it would be. It really completes the crib and will look great once we get the room decorated. You can see a picture of it here.
