Samantha loved spending time with the cousins, especially Ellie. She was always following her around and tried to do everything she did, including sitting on the potty. Dane was such a good sport to share his toys with Samantha as she loved playing with all of the "new" ones.
We made it back home late Monday night and took the rest of the week to recuperate and spend time together.
I can't believe Samantha has already started to figure out some things. Often if I tell her no about something she'll go and ask dad. Luckily we're almost always on the same page.
Samantha also has tried something else. If I tell her no she has disappeared into a room with the doors closed and is doing exactly what I told her no about. How do they figure this stuff out???
Last weekend she counted to five all by herself and is now singing the alphabet song while getting most of the letters. She has picked up a couple of phrases like, "be careful daddy" and when she took her plate out of a warm dishwasher she said "oh, toasty warm."
Blake continues to grow leaps and bounds. I put on a gown last night and couldn't believe that he barely fit into it. I can remember when we had to roll up the sleeves! He seems to be most happy in the mornings and is most willing to give out smiles at that time. We also get quite a few smiles out when we play with him and lift his arms above his head. He has his two month check-up on Monday.
